When a medium is called to care for a dying man, unsettling memories surface, drawing her into a mystery reaching back to the witch persecutions of 1653.
Part historical drama and part supernatural thriller, AWAKEN shines a light on working-class women condemned as witches, the lost language of Canting, which predates Cockney, and the almost-erased world of cunning folk healers.
Giving voice to those silenced by history, AWAKEN reclaims their wisdom, resilience and extraordinary legacy in a haunting exploration of persecution, memory and the power of the unseen.
